We discuss Harry Potter in our household. I'm sure that's a big surprise to anyone reading this. And we've discussed the two Epilogue 'ships. Now, in our house, those two 'ships were no real surprise and very much what we'd expected (if the four of them had survived.)

As Goofy says, when Harry saved Ginny's life (he was 12, she was 11) in the Chamber of Secrets, he "won the fair lady's heart". There is a direct parallel to this between Ron and Hermione. She was 12, he was 11, and he saved her from a mountain troll in the girl's bathroom. And "won the heart of his fair lady." (And then took nearly seven years to formalize it.)

So, am I the only one who's only just now figuring this out?

(And why does JKR keep having the rescues happen in the girl's bathrooms?)

Over the last month, I've had two ear infections (or one that didn't get cleared up.) When I went to the doctor for the second, she told me that my throat was inflamed, but the strep culture came back negative.

Friday night, I was a little congested and had a slight cough. It was a little worse on Saturday, and my throat hurt (post-nasal drip). Last night, the cough turned into a hacking cough and what sounded to me like wheezing. I've been through this before: bronchitis. I usually get an antibiotice, prescription cough syrup and inhaler and everything's fine.

Since the last time this happened, I've switched doctors and I've been diagnosed with diabetes. (Type II) And, apparently, this time, the bottom of my lungs are infected. So, I'm now taking an antibiotic, a cough syrup and steroids and, if I'm not better by Wednesday, I get to go for a chest X-ray. She's worried about pneumonia.

I wish my body would stop falling apart.
